BOOTIE PIRATE PROM this Sunday, May 27th at the DNA Lounge!

Aaaargh! Ahoy, maties! We know you scurvy lads and lasses have been waiting for this one! We've noticed it seems everyone's doing a pirate theme these days – but as you people know, Bootie is the original pirate party! Only this time we're going 'pirate formal' for the first-ever Bootie Pirate Prom!

This is also a special Sunday night Memorial Day party – an "extra Bootie" if you will – since we know many of you don't have to work Monday. So get decked out in your finest and most formal pirate attire, and be ready to dance to the best pirated mashups on the seven seas!

Since it's Memorial Day Weekend, you probably don't have to work on Monday. So we decided to do a special Bootie party on Sunday ... it's our first-ever Pirate Prom!

Come with a date, or go stag – we don't care! Just come decked out in your finest pirate attire – we call it "pirate formal."

And of course, it wouldn't be a prom without crowning a Prom King and Queen, and at midnight, you will decide who wins! We've got fabulous prizes for those who enter, and the "Best Couple" will win a dinner cruise around the Bay on Hornblower Cruises! We'll have other prizes as well – "Best Pirate Lad" and "Best Pirate Lass" will each win free haircut and color, courtesy of the newly opened and uber-fabulous Ginger Rubio salon.

And we'll have Bootie CD goodie bags to give away as prizes as well!

Dance to the sound of music piracy!

Your Bootie resident DJs ADRIAN & the MYSTERIOUS D, PARTY BEN, and DADA will all be doing showcase sets on the main floor, spinning all your mashup favorites.

And in the upstairs room, it's all '80s mashups, all night! We've got three of California's best mashup DJs to give you only '80s mashups: EARWORM (San Francisco), DJ TRIPP (Santa Cruz), and DAVID X (Sacramento).

And of course, what would a prom be without ... the PROM BAND! Bootie house band SMASH-UP DERBY will be fulfilling this time-honored duty with a crowd-pleasing set of – yup, you guessed it – '80s mashups. What is it about prom that makes us think of the '80s? Maybe it was all those John Hughes movies....

As always, we've got free Bootie CDs to the first 75 people through the door, and it's still 2 for 1 before 10:30 pm.
